В чем разница между WORK и JOB? Разве это не одно и то же?
The difference between those 2 words is obvious. First of all, "job" is always a noun and can't be a verb unlike "work" which could be both verb and a noun. People who WORK have a job which they are paid to do ('work' as an uncount noun = 'employment'). Work is also used to talk about the place where someone works (when 'work' has this meaning, you don't use a determiner in front of it - "I can't leave work till 5"). JOB is a particular set of duties that people get paid to do ("She has a cleaning job"). In formal English, JOB = a POSITION (POST), in official forms = an OCCUPATION.
